U's new boy Akanni-Sunday Wasiu is ready to make a big impression at Colchester United.

The front man signed a new contract with the Weston Homes Community Stadium side this week and is already happy with life at his new home of football.

He told the Colchester Gazette: "I like the way they play at Colchester and I think they understand my game.

"They play it on the ground which will help me score some goals.

"I'm very positive because the midfield players we have at Colchester are very good.

"I played with Colchester in pre-season and I like the way the players interact.

"I like to play with my feet, using the channels as much as possible.

"They play a very aggressive type of football in the Conference but in League football, it's a little different."
