Aidy Disappointed With Draw

Posted on: Wed 10 Mar 2010

U's boss Aidy Boothroyd was left disappointed as his side struggled to hit top gear in the game against Brighton on Monday night.

The U's shared the points with the Seagulls in a 0-0 draw and Aidy was frustrated at the final whistle.

He told the East Anglian Daily Times: "We didn't deserve to get anything out of the game.

"We never really got going and they did better than us, but when you consider they have beaten Charlton away and come within 90 seconds of beating Leeds away then you have to say they are no mugs.

"We are all disappointed in the dressing room because we expect to win our home games, but the table still doesn't look too bad.

"That's four points we've taken off Brighton and you've got to say that if that was reversed and we had got three at home and one away you would take that.

"The important thing is that we played as bad as that and still kept a clean sheet. This is perhaps a game we will reflect on and think we did well to get away with a point."
