U's defender Franck Queudrue believes his new side can push for promotion in the remaining games of the season.

Franck watched on as the victory slipped through the U's grasp on Saturday, but believes that Colchester can get the points they need.

He told the East Anglian Daily Times: "I'm quite happy to get 90 minutes because it's my first competitive game in quite some time. Hopefully, I can go on to show my worth here.

"We were solid and I wanted to start with a clean sheet and the referee has made a mistake. We can argue as much as we want but I spoke to him and he said that he didn't see it.

"I knew straight away that he had handled it, but the referee didn't see it.

"I trust him and he wouldn't do it on purpose. Now we have to focus on our next game and get a result."
