Bond Aiming For More

Posted on: Mon 16 Aug 2010

U's midfielder Andy Bond was delighted to get off the mark in the weekend draw with Sheffield Wednesday - and he is looking to make even more of an impression in the coming weeks.

Andy's goal was a screamer and he told the Daily Gazette: "I couldn't have asked for anything more than a goal on my home debut.

"It was nice to see it fly in the top corner and, as soon as I hit it, I knew it was in.

"I think I played well enough last year for people to come and look at me. I've got my chance now and I want to take it.

"I'd like to score a few more goals between now and the end of the season and whether it's a tap in or a screamer, it doesn't matter to me."
