After a host of loan spells away from Tottenham Hotspur, Colchester United moved quickly in the 2006 summer transfer market to secure Johnnie on a permanent basis.
He returned to Layer Road following a previously successful time with the club back in 2003 and regular first team football has given the player who appeared on a number of occasions in the Premiership a chance to show his worth.
A cultured midfielder, Jacko was a key component of the U's midfield last season and added spectacular goals to his already varied repertoire, aswell as captaining the side on multiple occasions.
