Combative left back who joined the U's on loan from high flying Shrewsbury Town in November, before joining permanently early in the January transfer window.
Having landed the Shrews' Player of the Year awards in 2007/8, Marc made the most of his loan spell at Colchester, with a series of excellent performances.
He is tough tackler who can also play in midfield, and has already added steel to the U's side, winning the Players' Player of the Year award in 2009/10.
