Combative left back who joined the U's on loan from high flying Shrewsbury Town in November, before making his move permanent at the start of the January 2009 transfer window.
Having landed the Shrews' Player of the Year awards in 2007/8, Marc was keen to make the most of his loan spell at Colchester, with hopes of a permanent move in January in mind.
A tough tackler who can also play in midfield, Marc added steel to the U's side and was quickly snapped up for an undisclosed fee as soon as the window opened.
