Lee's performances for Lincoln City in 2008/8 earned interest from Scotland, as Motherwell moved in to attempt to sign him and take him north.
However, the U's interest in the versatile defender was enough to persuade him to stay in the south. A dislocated shoulder ruled him out for much of last season, but he will be pushing for a place in 2010/11.
