Winger Mark Yeates will be a familiar figure to most Colchester United followers, having returned to the U's following a loan spell in the 2005/6 promotion season.
The tricky Irishman came through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur, and as well as a temporary stay at Layer Road, has also played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Swindon Town, Hull City and Leicester City. He was a near ever present for the U's in their historic 2005/6 promotion season, playing 44 times in the league scoring five goals as his part of lifting the U's into the Championship.
A dislocated shoulder cut his return to the U's first team short in February, but he scored plenty of goals during his time in the team.
