Attacking full back who made the switch to Colchester United in the January 2008 transfer window. He joins after impressing boss Geraint Williams whilst on loan at Southampton and joined for an undisclosed six figure fee, which could become a new club record should certain clauses be fulfilled. Phil spent eleven years at Spurs but becomes the latest player to join the U's from the White Hart Lane club.
