Whilst season ticket renewal brochures will go out to this year's season ticket holders for the start of next week, there's also something in the pot for the rest of the season ticket holders from the final season at Layer Road.

A special message will be going out to those supporters - many of whom have been coming to plenty of games this season - to encourage them to become season ticket holders in 2009/10.

In that message, Chief Executive Steve Bradshaw writes: "For the fans that were season ticket holders in the final season at Layer Road, we are keen to invite you all back into the fold for what promises to be an exciting campaign under Paul Lambert's management.

"We know that many of you have still been coming regularly this year. We are all proud to be Colchester United, so we'd love you to come along for the ride in 2009/10.

"As a gesture of goodwill, we'd like to offer you the chance as a loyal supporter over the last few years to purchase a season ticket at the renewal rate, rather than a new purchase rate."

Details of that offer are expected to go out in the post next week.
