Colchester United Community Sports Trust (CUCST) is one of the leading sports charities in the country, delivering safe and affordable activities, designed to bring together all members of the community, regardless of background.

Every single day we help ordinary people to achieve extraordinary things, encouraging and supporting people of all ages to learn new skills, adopt a healthier way of life, join together as a community and achieve their full potential.

We do this by working in partnership with communities to develop an inclusive range of sporting, educational and social opportunities that improve the quality of life for individuals and neighbourhoods.

On average more than 7,000 young people a week take part in our activities. And each year more than 20,000 residents benefit as individuals by using our services.
Add to that the hundreds of families who now use our Children's Centre and you can already start to see the impact we have on communities in North and Central Essex.

This engagement is key to achieving our vision to change lives and communities through sport.

The Trust was established as a recognised charity in 2001, and since then we have won many local, regional and national awards for our innovative programmes.

Our dedicated staff continue to break new ground in tackling health issues and challenges brought about by low aspiration, expectation and achievement through programmes such as Baby U's which offers parenting support, Kick into reading which boosts early reading skills and Fair Tackle which offers support for young offenders.

While the hub of our activities are run from Shrub End Community and Sports Centre and the Weston Homes Community Stadium, we take great pride in our inclusive approach to meeting the needs of individual communities - and we do this by physically working at sports centres and community spaces all over north and central Essex.
