Making Life Simpler

Posted on: Sat 21 Feb 2009

Plans are in place to make life as simple for you to get to the game on Saturday.

The club have been working hard to ensure that everyone can get into the game in a timely fashion at the weekend - and be ready for a lively encounter against the Shrimpers.

Fans are reminded that the official car park is SOLD OUT and both sets of fans are advised to make the most of the shuttle bus service from Bruff Close before and after the game.

So what's going on this weekend?

Friday Night Extra
The Ticket Office is open until 6.30pm on Friday night to allow fans the chance to come and purchase tickets or to collect tickets that have already been purchased.

Sales on the Day
Tickets can also be purchased from 10am on Saturday and up to 1pm via the club's online ticketing www.colutickets.com. Telephone bookings can be made until 2pm.

On arrival at the ground, fans should note that there will be two cash only windows and four credit card windows.

To speed up your transactions, it may be worth popping to a cash point in town - or at ASDA before coming up to the ground.

It is also a possibility that there will be a cash only ticket kiosk situated outside the North Stand for fans wishing to sit in that area.

Keep Your Ears Open!
Sales have been going well all week and there are now only limited areas remaining for ticket purchases.

From 1pm, there will be regular tannoy announcements on our external speakers - and these will continue right until kick-off.

If you are purchasing your ticket on the day, please listen to these announcements whilst you are queuing to get the latest advice on which areas of the ground you can buy tickets from.

At present, the following areas are sold out: All away tickets; E1, E2, E3, E7, E8.

The West Stand (in particular W1 and W2), N1, N2 and E6 are nearing sell-out - fans wishing to sit on this side of the ground are advised to purchase in advance of arrival at the ground.

Indeed, the advice is clear: Beat the queues and buy in advance!

Collections

Pre-purchased tickets can be either be collected within our extended hours on the Friday or on Saturday morning.

If you are collecting upon arrival, the tables will be situated in or near the Main Reception.

Due to the volume of pre-purchased tickets, it is advised to collect in advance or allow plenty of time on the day of the game.

Turnstiles
Visiting fans should note that the turnstiles in the South Stand will open at 12.30pm. This will allow you to watch the Aston Villa v Chelsea game in the comfort of our concourses.

All turnstiles will be open by 1.30pm on Saturday.

After The Match
Please note that there will be additional shuttle buses running this weekend to accommodate the bigger crowd.

We hope that this will not only allow our own supporters to get away in a timely fashion after the match, but also to ensure that visiting fans can enjoy the service we provide after the game.

Meanwhile, the Ticket Office will be open until 5.30pm after the match to sell tickets for the Stockport, Hartlepool and Oldham games and the U's Retail Outlet will be open until 6pm.
