Colchester United's Matchday shuttle bus service will continue to run for the club's third season at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The service was completely subsidised by chairman Robbie Cowling in its first year, and the club will continue to partly subsidise the buses in the coming year, with a new charge of £1.50 (return) coming into force from the opening game of the season at Sheffield Wednesday.

And, following chairman Robbie Cowling's recent evening spent calling supporters about season ticket renewals, the club are also considering further enhancements to the shuttle bus service.

"The shuttle bus service was once again a huge success last season, drawing compliments from both home and away supporters," chairman Robbie Cowling told the club's official website.

"I will continue to subsidise part of the cost of the service in the coming season and we still believe that the service is one that provides great value for money."

Buses will, in the main, run on the same timetables as in the 2009/10 season, but there is now a reduced service from Severalls (details HERE).

The services from the Ancient Briton, Drury Arms and Fat Cat pubs will be on offer once again, all stopping on Head Street at Bus Stop P to collect fans from the town, including those who may have bought tickets from U's Central earlier in the day.

Senior citizens will continue to be able to use the shuttle buses for FREE on presentation of their Essex County Council concessionary pass, whilst the Matchday Rover ticket operated by First Buses will also be £1.50 for the coming season.

Fans are reminded that car parking at the offical stadium car park will be £6 per car for the 2010/11 season.

Permits can be purchased over the phone until the close of business (5pm) on a Friday before a Saturday game and close of business on a Monday before a Tuesday fixture.

If you not have already purchased a permit by the day of the game, permits will be ready for purchase on the arrival at the stadium.

Fans can purchase a seasonal parking permit for just £100, meaning you get six games parking for FREE, as well as getting priority parking!

Parking Restrictions
Supporters are reminded that parking is restricted on United Way, Axial Way and Boxted Road (the roads immediately surrounding the stadium).

These are clearways and fans parking in these areas may be liable to receive a parking ticket.
