The energetic forward broke into the squad during pre-season ahead of the 2013/14 season and appeared eight times as a substitute in that campaign.
Having signed a three year contract last season, Sammie went on to be a regular in the first team in 2014/15, before he spent time out on loan at Braintree Town in the 2015/16 season.
He missed the latter part of the campaign with injury, so started the new season full of energy as he looked to make up for lost time. He scored three times before an ankle injury again stymied his progress in 2016/17, but he will hope to finish the season on a high.
