Getting To The Game

JOBSERVE COMMUNITY STADIUM CAR PARK
MATCHDAY PARKING - There is a large car park on site at the JobServe Community Stadium, with almost 700 spaces available. These can be booked in advance of each matchday via colutickets.com - you'll need to add your car registration to your booking to access via the ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) barrier on arrival. Parking spaces typically cost £7.50 per car.

Should you have any questions around the JobServe Community Stadium Car Park, please email ticketing@colchesterunited.net.

NON MATCHDAY PARKING - For anyone attending on-site events, conferences or meetings, or those visiting the Club Shop, Ticket Office or meeting with Club Staff, parking remains complimentary providing a vehicle number plate is registered on one of the touch screen devices available in the stadium. If you wish to park on site without attending an event, you can pay for a space via the RingGo App (location code 71667).

PARK AND RIDE CAR PARK
At busier games, the stadium car park is likely to sell out. An alternative that is a 5-10 minute walk from the stadium is the Park and Ride car park, located just on the other side of the A12 (CO4 5YX) - access to the stadium is ONLY via Boxted Road. Payment is via contactless on exit.

To get to the stadium, leave the car park via the path next to McDonald's. Turn left and walk over the Boxted Road Bridge, crossing the A12. You'll see the stadium through the trees on your left hand side, and will be able to access the site via United Way approx 100m after crossing the bridge.

DIRECTIONS TO THE STADIUM (CO4 5UP)
The stadium is served by the A12, easily accessible from Junction 28.

FROM THE SOUTH (IPSWICH-BOUND CARRIAGEWAY) - To access the stadium from the south, turn off at Junction 28, turning right at the first roundabout. Go across the bridge and then go straight over the second roundabout, before turning right on to United Way from the third roundabout. You are now at the stadium.

FROM THE NORTH (LONDON-BOUND CARRIAGEWAY) - To access the stadium from the north, turn off at Junction 28, turning left at the first roundabout. Turn right on to United Way from the second roundabout. You are now at the stadium.

Access to the stadium in a vehicle is only via United Way - there is a barrier blocking access from Boxted Road.

OFF SITE PARKING ETC
There are a number of car parks near to the stadium, notably the Park & Ride and Northern Gateway Sports Centre across the A12, and the Hollywood Bowl multi-storey car park adjacent to the stadium. Please use these car parks and avoid using residential streets in the nearby vicinity. Please obey any parking restrictions on local roads and on leaving the stadium, please be respectful of our local communities especially following evening matches.

Walking is a great way to get to the JobServe Community Stadium without using a vehicle. There are a number of footpaths that reach the stadium safely, with the best route from the city centre going from North Hill. Head north towards North Station Road, crossing the Rover Colne on North Bridge where you will reach the station. Go over the roundabout on Mile End Road where you will come to Nayland Road at the Dog & Pheasant Pub. From there keep going north until you reach Boxted Road, where the stadium is positioned on your right after the housing estates, before you reach the A12.

TIER are Europe's largest shared micro-mobility operator and we have been working closely since Green Football Weekend in February 2024 to provide sustainable ways to travel around Colchester - and there is now an e-scooter and e-bike hub located behind the South Stand at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Providing e-scooters and e-bikes in Colchester as well as other locations in Essex, TIER offer convenient and sustainable solutions to get around without needing to drive, and it became the first climate-neutral company of its kind in 2020.

Geo-restrictions on United Way have been removed to allow supporters to ride right up to the turnstiles, with the e-scooters and e-bikes providing a great alternative to using a car.

Cycling is another great way to get to the JobServe Community Stadium, with a generous number of bike racks available free of charge when you get to the ground.

Via Urbis Romanae provides cyclists a safe passage to the stadium with its cycle lanes, with plenty of other roads around the city allowing you to make your way to the stadium while avoiding using the car and any congestion that it may bring.

CycleStreets provides a route planner with guidance on the best and safest options for you to use - click HERE to read more and plan your route to the JobServe Community Stadium.

PARK AND RIDE BUSES

Park and Ride buses serve the park and ride to and from the town centre are available on Saturdays until approx 6:30pm. For midweek matches (7:45pm KO), buses will get you to the ground in good time, but will finish running before the end of the game.

The closest train station for the JobServe Community Stadium is the Colchester Station, which is on the mainline between London and Norwich.

It is a forty-five minute walk from the station to the stadium via Mile End Road, Nayland Road and Boxted Road, or you could catch a Park and Ride bus (check the timetable before travelling), which will get you to within a 10 minute walk of the stadium.

Please check the Essex Highways website for any local closures before making your way to the JobServe Community Stadium.

There is no access between United Way and Boxted Road.

Fixed road signs will inform drivers of any arranged road closures, while on the day of the game, temporary signs will inform drivers before they reach the closure zone.
