Nico joined the U’s on a season long loan for the 2023/24 season from Southampton.
Nico joined Southampton after taking a unique journey through the independent, south London-based Kinetic Academy, after featuring for a handful of London academies until he was 14 years old. After moving through the age groups with Kinetic Academy, he stepped into Men’s football in non-league with Glebe FC to gain early exposure in senior football.
He was with Glebe for less than a season before impressing on trial at Southampton to secure a move to the South Coast.
The centre back went from strength to strength in the Saints B team before being loaned to National League side Torquay in January of last season
Despite being unable to save Torquay from relegation in the National League, his immediate impact saw Nico win two Player of the Month awards as well as the club's Young Player of the Season award.
