The towering centre-half arrived from Yeovil in 2019.
After spending four years in the West Country with the Glovers, including some time as captain. His arrival on a two-year deal in 2019 saw him return to his home town, having been born in Colchester and attending school at Philip Morant.
The 6'6 defender began life in Ipswich Town's Academy, and spent time on loan at Braintree Town and Lowestoft Town before leaving Portman Road in search of first team football. 2017/18 was his most successful season to date, having played 46 times in all competitions. The 18/19 was a difficult one for Omar though, with an ankle injury keeping him out of action from December through to the start of March in a tough season for Yeovil.
First team opportunities were hard to come by for Omar during his first season with the U's, but he has shown what is needed in his games for Colchester United.
