Ronny Nelson joined Colchester United from Leicester City’s academy.
He made his U21s debut for the Foxes in their 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers in August 2021. The left-footed defender joined the U’s in July 2023 and has featured in three first-team pre-season games.
Nelson was also named on the bench for Colchester’s Carabao Cup defeat to Cardiff City but did not feature in the match.
