Former Irish international Alan Judge joined Colchester United in the summer of 2021.

Judge was one of a number of players that made the switch from Suffolk neighbours, Ipswich Town following his release from the League One side.

Dublin-born Judge's career began at Premier League side Blackburn Rovers in the 2008/09 season, with subsequent loans out to Plymouth Argyle and Notts County for more first team football.

Meadow Lane was made a permanent home for the tricky midfielder in 2011, before a switch back to Blackburn Rovers for a further season. A difficult 2013/14 season preceeded a move to Brentford, where he would become a regular.

Helping the Bees to the Championship, Alan Judge would make almost 150 appearances, then making the move to Ipswich Town in 2019.

Judge also has international credits to his name, playing for the Irish National side nine times, scoring one goal.
