Colchester United's U21s make their first appearance in the U21s Professional Development League 2 on Wednesday night.
The team will face Bristol City - just days after the U16s and U18s also faced the Robins at Florence Park.
The squad that has travelled to the West Country is a young one, although future games may allow Development Coach Richard Hall to name up to three 'overage' outfield players and an overage goalkeeper if required.
Summer signings Jackson Ramm and Merrick James-Lewis are set for their competitive U's debuts, whilst Tom Aldred will skipper the team as they take on City.
