Big Test Awaits

30 November 2012

Unbeaten Chelsea come to town.

The U's youth team face an unbeaten Chelsea side when the two come face to face this weekend at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The U18s have had a comfortable passage to the Third Round so far, winning 13-1 and 8-1 to book their place against the competition holders on Saturday afternoon.

It will be an altogether different prospect this weekend, as Tony Humes' boys take centre stage against their Premier League opponents.

Chelsea's U18s have won nine and drawn two of their league games this season and include members in their squad who, like the U's youngsters, have been included in U21s fixtures during the course of the season so far.

However, Humes' team are in good form themselves.

They have picked up a fantastic 22 points from ten league games so far, topping the table above a host of Championship and Premier League outfits.

The match on Saturday kicks off at 1pm on Saturday. Adult tickets cost £7, 65+/U16s are £5, whilst U14s are £3 and U8s £1. The Ticket Office will be open from 10.30am.

Squad: Conor Cable, Miles Palmer, Callum Rogers, Conor Clarke, Frankie Kent, Billy Roast, Michael O’Donoghue, Tom Lapslie, Alex Gilbey, Drey Wright, Jack Curtis, Sammie Szmodics, Macauley Bonne, Nnamdi Nwachuku, Jack Simmons, Tyler Brampton, Callum Harrison, Marley Andrews, Thomas Monk, Augustin Mafuta, Matt Brown
