Manager wants player to stake a claim.
U's boss Joe Dunne is set to make changes for the game at Northampton Town on Tuesday night - but is keen to make progress in the Johnstone's Paints Trophy.
The U's will be hoping to turn around their fortunes in the lower league competition and know a place in the last sixteen of the competition awaits if they can see off former manager Aidy Boothroyd's Cobblers team.
And speaking ahead of the game, Joe said: "If I'm going to stick to what I believe is our philosophy as a club, we need to give players the opportunity to play and give them a chance to stake their claim.
"The changes that I make will be household names coming in, and the youngsters will come along too because that's what we're about.
"I will be making changes because there are those I need to give a chance to, especially after the Yeovil game."
