Charitable U's make big contributions.
Colchester United fans have shown their generous side in the early weeks of the new season.
In the pre-season friendlies and home games to date, there have been four charity collections which have raised a cumulative sum of £2,138 to local good causes.
What's more, the charity fundraising for the Teenage Cancer Trust adopted by the U's for the coming season has also raised nearly £1,700, which means that U's fans have already contributed nearly £4,000 to charities of all sizes.
