Meet The Establishment

5 April 2013

Band's tour arrives at WHCS on Saturday.

The live dates will see the band visit all four English Divisions, from Premier League to League Two, delivering live music to football fans on matchdays.

As this season draws to an end, Nottingham based band The Establishment have joined forces with Shoot Music to create the first ever 'football stadium' tour, which comes to the U's home venue this weekend.

This groundbreaking tour is the first of its kind and places The Establishment firmly on the front foot as they set out plans to release their debut album this summer.
They have recently joined forces with Dion Dublin who snapped the band up after a tip off from BBC commentator Darren Fletcher, who himself has been a fan of them for a long time.

The Establishment comprise of guitarist John Burns, who spent 10 years as a professional footballer with Nottingham Forest and Bristol City and was also capped many times up to U21s level for the Republic Of Ireland, alongside drummer Steven Landon, vocalist Stephen ‘Hobbo’ Hobster, bass guitarist Neil Jacks and guitarist Stuart Landon.

Since Dion took his first step into management with the band, the project has gone from strength to strength, securing tour dates with Status Quo, Ocean Colour Scene, Cast and performances on radio alongside acts such as Badly Drawn Boy, Annie Mac, Starsailor and The Futureheads, as well as festival appearances at Latitude, Reading and Leeds.

It was while touring with Ocean Colour Scene that the band managed to capture the services of OCS and Paul Weller guitarist Steve Cradock into co-producing and performing on their debut album alongside renowned producer Matt Terry (The Enemy, One Night Only, The Noisettes).

New Single ‘Jennifer Jones’ is released releases April 29th on CDE Music. The band’s debut album follows in June 2013.

To date the band have enjoyed support from Capital FM, BBC Radio 5 Live (606 & Colin Murray’s Fighting Talk), talkSPORT and TV appearances on BBC Question of Sport, Sky Sports, ESPN.
They'll be playing outside of the South Stand in our fanzone area, from around 1.45pm - come and give them a listen!

The Establishment recently recorded a new video featuring England legends Stuart Pearce, Des Walker, Teddy Sheringham, Les Ferdinand and well known soap star Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow in Coronation Street).
