Robbie Ready For Big Finish

17 April 2013

Come and applaud him on his final run.

U's chairman Robbie Cowling will complete one stage of his huge fundraising effort when Shrewsbury Town come to Colchester on Saturday.

In his efforts to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, Robbie has run to every home game this season - 15 miles each time - and S

aturday's visit of the Shrews will see Robbie complete his runs with one last big effort to reach the Weston Homes Community Stadium. Robbie will be joined by a number of other runners for that last run and we have meeting points at 5, 3 and 1 mile to go for anyone who would wish to join in (please contact us onmedia@colchesterunited.netif so!).You can donate to Robbie's incredible efforts by visiting http://www.justgiving.com/colutct.

Adam and Robbie shared some tips as, although Robbie's running is completed v Shrewsbury, he'll have two days rest before setting off to Carlisle by bike for the final away game of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Robbie is pictured meeting Adam Faiers from the MK Dons Supporters Association, who has cycled to every away game this season.

His arrival will then be followed by a host of Family Day activities around the stadium - so there's plenty of reason to get here early and see off the season in style!

He is due to arrive at the stadium at around 1pm on Saturday, so we would ask fans to get here at around that time to acclaim his efforts ahead of the last home game of the campaign.
