U16s Take On Hammers

11 April 2013

Come and see the stars of the future.

This Thursday evening (April 11th) sees next season's new batch of scholars step out at the Weston Homes Community Stadium for the first time when West Ham United are the visitors for an U16s fixture.

Last year, Ipswich Town were the visitors in a similar fixture and, while we may have lost back in May, the experience held many of those new scholars in good stead for the FA Youth Cup ties and U21s fixtures that took place at WHCS this season.

Among those who have been offered two year scholarships from July include local lads, Marley Andrews, Tyler Brampton, Callum Harrison and Tom Monk, who have all progressed through the club's youth teams.

Joel Atkin, Ron Carroll, Charlie Gardiner and Harry Seal join us from Derby, Tottenham, Charlton + Norwich respectively, while Sandro Semedo and Bachiro Bari originate from Guinea-Bassau.

The squad will be made up with talented U15s players who have represented the U16s squad throughout the season.

Kick-off is at 7pm on Thursday and hopefully there will be a good crowd to watch not only potential Joe Coles, Rio Ferdinands or Freddie Sears wearing West Ham colours, but also future U's stars too.

Prices for the game on Thursday night are:-

Season Ticket Holders: FREE

Adults: £5.00

Concession: £3.50

U18s: £2.50

U14s: £1.50

We look forward to seeing you at the game!
