U21s Romp To R's Win

15 April 2013

Four goal haul for U's youngsters.

The U's U21s recorded one of their best results of the season on Monday afternoon, as they saw off QPR by a 4-0 scoreline.

It was a welcome result for the U21s, who have been scoring freely in recent weeks but not gained the results that their performances warranted.

Two of the four goals came in an impressive first half display, with the first coming midway through that opening period.

Freddie Ladapo was the man to break the deadlock, as he headed home from close range to put the U's one up.

Ryan Melaugh made it two, beating the keeper two minutes before the break after being put in one on one with the R's shot stopper Lumley.

Jordan Sanderson did his best to get onto the scoresheet too, but when his shot was parried by the keeper, Ladapo was on hand to double his haul and put the U's further ahead.

The scoring was completed just after the hour mark by Tom Eastman, who made it two goals in two appearances after his recent return from injury.

He played 67 minutes before being taken off and the U's came through the remaining time unscathed as they recorded a welcome victory.
