U's Wait On Freddie

5 April 2013

Striker edging closer to return.

U's striker Freddie Sears is edging closer to full fitness, as he looks to play his part in the quest for safety in League One this season.

Freddie limped off in the game at Stevenage earlier in the campaign, but was due to return to first team training with the rest of the team on Thursday.

If he gets through that unscathed, he could provide a vital addition to the squad as the U's look to get closer to the points target that will assure them of League One football for 2013/14.

Otherwise, the U's remain without George Porter, who misses the game against his former side as he serves the final game of his suspension for his sending off at Bury.

Tom Eastman is also missing as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.

The U's Ticket Office is open until 7pm on Friday to give fans best chance of booking a ticket for the weekend - don't forget, the car park is SOLD OUT for this match.
