U's physio Tony Flynn explained: "David is OK now. He went to the hospital and was allowed to leave about 8pm on Saturday evening and travelled back with the rest of the squad.
David collided with Magpies midfielder Joss Ladabie just before half time on Saturday, and received extensive treatment on the pitch before being taken to Queen Mary Hospital in Nottingham as the rest of the players were in the dressing rooms at half time.
