11 April 2013

Two top strikes up for an award.

The competition features the best goals from U18s Academy players at Football League clubs up and down the land.

Barnet’s Tanasheh Abrahams super strike proved the most popular last month. His left foot screamer from 25 yards out may not have been enough to secure a point for Barnet in a 1-2 home reverse against Brighton & Hove Albion on 23rd February but it did receive 46 per cent of the public vote.

GOAL A: Jack Curtis, COLCHESTER UNITED v Barnet
GOAL B: Kamaron English, Leyton Orient v WATFORD
GOAL C: Tom Lapslie, Cardiff City v COLCHESTER UNITED
GOAL D: Bradley Tarbuck, PORTSMOUTH v Southend United

LFE Chief Executive, Alan Sykes said: “This competition remains popular with our apprentices, clubs and the general public and continues to showcase the excellent work being conducted across The Football League to develop talented young players.”
