And they will now take on Thurrock, who are currently flying high in the Ryman One North, on Tuesday January 7th in a 7.45pm kick-off.
Richard Hall and Karl Duguid's side have made progress to this stage of the competition by beating Great Wakering Rovers and Billericay in previous rounds.
The U's will host Thurrock in the Essex Senior Cup quarter finals in early January.
