Boss Wants Billy

7 February 2013

U's eye loan extension.

The creative player's initial loan spell is up in the next week and Joe said that conversations have already started with the Premier League side to keep him at the club for longer.

U's boss Joe Dunne is keen to extend the stay of Chelsea midfielder Billy Clifford.
He told the press on Thursday: "We've spoken to Chelsea this week about Billy, but we wait for news on that as we need one or two people to come back us before it can be done.

"Billy brings quality to the team and even the other night, on a difficult pitch, he was trying to move the ball around.

"He is a little dog in there, a tenacious fighter who can do both sides of the game. I've always said that height doesn't bother me if you've got a heart as big as his and he brings qualities to the team for the way I want to play."
