Get along for a day of fun activities!
Colchester United are pleased to announce that next month’s match against MK Dons, Saturday 23rd March, will also double up as the club’s Family Fun Day!
Similar to our very successful family events in the past, we will be focusing this day on getting as many people along to the game as possible with various activities for families of all ages!
We will be putting on as many activities as we can to make sure that you can start your matchday here at the Weston Homes Community Stadium early and get into the spirit of things.
We currently have the following planned for the day and will be sure to be adding to it between now and when the U’s take on MK Dons:-
- Football activities including our Speed Shooter and Accuracy Challenge!
- Face Painting!
- Inflatable activities such as our Bouncy Castle and Bungee Run!
- Various mascots in attendance including, of course, our very own Eddie the Eagle!
- Local organizations putting on fun and games for kids of all ages
- A mens match at Shrub End in the morning between fans of both teams
- And much, much more!
“I think the Family Day is a fantastic idea,” U’s Club Captain Kem Izzet said.
“I’m a dad of two myself and think that the stadium is a great place to bring your family to watch football. With all of the extra activities that are planned for the day, it could be one of the best matchdays yet at the stadium, so I hope that everyone gets along to enjoy the day.
“It’ll also mean that there are plenty of people in the stadium for what could be a very important game, so I hope that the day is a big success.”
