Help Out League's Charity

13 February 2013

Prostate Cancer need your help!

Join Prostate Cancer UK’s team of Bucket shaking at our game against Yeovil Town on Tuesday February 26th!
As The Football League's Official Charity Partner, Prostate Cancer UK is working together with all 72 clubs to help raise awareness of prostate cancer in their community and raise money to support men with the disease.

If you fancy joining their team of volunteers at Colchester United v Yeovil Town on Tuesday February 26th then sign up here.

What can I do?
Prostate Cancer UK want you to help us raise money for the 250,000 men living with the disease in the UK. You can do this by bucket shaking, handing out their football fanzines and representing Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate Cancer UK needs you to show all our fans how important prostate cancer is and how we all need to do everything we can to stop 10,000 men dying from the disease every year in the UK.

What will happen on the day?
You will be collecting from fans as they arrive at the ground for around 90 minutes before kickoff.

Prostate Cancer UK will provide you with a bucket, a branded item of clothing to identify yourself as a Prostate Cancer UK volunteer, as well as information leaflets on prostate cancer to hand out to fans.

Volunteers will be able to promote the charity using our football fanzine which carries a suggested donation of £1.

You will be provided specific information (start time, meeting point etc) for your game closer to the date of the game. There will be a volunteer leader on the day who will meet and brief you, and give you everything you need including the bucket and branded clothing

Can I bring my friends and family?
Of course you can! The more people you can bring, the more volunteers we have and the more money we can make on the day.

So please join the right, support both The U’s and Prostate Cancer UK and together we can crack prostate cancer.
