Thousands raised by generous supporters.
The U's Annual Mascot Race at the weekend game against Preston North End looks set to have raised over £2,000.
Generous fans from Colchester United and Preston contributed over £800 before and after the game on Saturday afternoon, which the U's won 1-0.
And, coupled with monies raised by the mascots that took part in their places of work, the overall total is set to click over the £2,000 mark.
All of the monies raised will go to the local charity, which does such great work within our local community.
