Pentney joins Bishop's Stortford.
The U's have already loaned players out to Stortford in the last couple of seasons, with both Freddie Ladapo and Ryan Melaugh having spells with the club.
The shot stopper has yet to make his Colchester United debut, and with Sam Walker joining from Chelsea until the end of the season, Carl will join the Blue Square North side until March 29th.
U's goalkeeper Carl Pentney is set to head out on another loan spell, this time joining Bishop's Stortford.
Meanwhile, defender Bradley Hamilton will be staying with Chelmsford City until the end of the seaason, having extended his loan spell with the Melbourne Park club.
