The U's busy January transfer window has continued with the return of Dominic Samuel to Reading.
The young striker made two appearances during his stint at Colchester United, but found his opportunities limited by the cold snap that saw many games postponed during January.
And, with his month's loan spell now up, he has returned to Reading, where he was in their U21s squad for the game against Newcastle in midweek.
