Watt Set For Home Bow

16 July 2013

Wide man returns after summer move.

Tuesday night sees the U's in home action for the first time in pre-season, with summer signing Sanchez Watt ready for his first appearance at the Weston Homes Community Stadium since his summer switch.

The former Arsenal man made a 30 minute appearance in the 2-0 win over Bishop's Stortford at the weekend and is now ready to return to the U's home venue.

The game will come too soon for fellow summer signing Craig Eastmond, although the injury that he received at Heybridge Swifts earlier in pre-season does not appear to be as bad as initially thought.

And Josh Thompson, who has rejoined training this week, will also miss out this time.

Triallist Craig Braham-Barrett will get the chance to impress at left back, whilst Danny Pappoe will make his third appearance as the U's line up a loan move for the Chelsea centre half.

The Hammers are also expected to bring a strong squad full of first team names, as pre-season steps up a level or two ahead of the start of the season in a couple of weeks' time.

Fans are reminded that parking for this game is SOLD OUT, but fans of both sides can still buy tickets at the Ticket Office on the night, as well as buying in advance via or 0845 437 9089 and then collecting on the night.

U's: Cousins, Phillips, Olufemi, Okuonghae, Eastman, Pappoe, O’Donoghue, Izzet, David Wright, Bean, O’Toole, Bond, Spence, Braham-Barrett, Gilbey, Massey, Sears, Drey Wright, Watt, Morrison, Ibehre
