o sad to hear about Dick Graham passing away yesterday morning. "He regularly had supporters attend weekly get together to relive that incredible victory over Leeds United and all the other achievements in his football life.

"Dick never lost his enthusiasm for the game and Colchester United.  He was always ready to share his memories and advice on the game he loved.

"The last couple of times I visited him in hospital after his fall and in the nursing home he still had an incredible memory for names, facts and concerns for his players and friends.

"He was of course a big family man and always commented to me how much he appreciated their love and care for him and his wife.
