Narrow win for development squad

Olufemi scored the first seven minutes before half time, with Wright doubling the lead on 62 minutes.

Richard Hall's side came away from Barnet's training ground with a narrow 2-1 victory, thanks to goals from Tosin Olufemi and Drey Wright.

The U's U21s development squad have beaten Barnet.

The Bees got a goal back but couldn't conjure up an equaliser, with the U's doing enough to hold on.

Kem Izzet played ninety minutes as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury, and will be hoping to be involved in the first team against Crewe at the weekend.

Hall said after the game: "It was pleasing to see the lads trying to do the right things, even on a less than perfect surface, and although we sat back a bit at 2-0, we performed well generally." 

U's: Phillips, Buck, Heath, Roast, Ramm, Izzet, Gilbey, Sanderson(Lapslie 69), Olufemi, Melaugh(Simmons 61), Wright.

Unused subs: Clark, Mafuta, Bonne.
