Mascot enters Zoo's birthday race.
Eddie the Eagle stepped up his pre-season training on Saturday, when he headed to Colchester Zoo as part of their fiftieth birthday celebrations.
Eddie was one of the invited mascots to take part in the Zoo's Mascot Race on Saturday evening.
Having made his way through the semi-final heats, the U's fluffy favourite finished second in the main event, with a big support behind him for both races.
It was the latest event in what has been a busy summer for the U's mascot, with every weekend of the close season having a visit in store for Eddie.
