In a Battle of Essex with a difference, David and former U’s right back John White go head to head in the quest to raise money for Movember.U's midfielder David Wright needs your help in the Battle of the Mos, after some generous fundraising by Southend United's fans at the weekend.

David has been busy growing his moustache over the past eleven days, but now has further incentive to come up with a bushy masterpiece as he goes up against John, now captain at Southend, in a fundraising battle.

However, the Shrimpers fans have given John the lead at the moment, including their fans raising a fantastic £165 on their trip down to Exeter City at the weekend. So David needs your help to catch up!

Movember is a month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancer associated charities.

David said: "I’ve enjoyed growing my moustache and helping raise money over the past few days, but now I’m up against John, I’m more determined than ever to grow a top moustache before the month is out.

"I’m really hoping that Colchester fans can help me raise plenty of money for Movember and beat the Southend fans in the quest to make the most for this fantastic cause."
