We Have No Fear

Joe will take confident U's to Brentford.

U's boss Joe Dunne will take a confident Colchester United to Brentford this weekend, looking to get back on the winning trail.

The recent injury problems facing the U's manager have begun to ease, with the likes of Ryan Dickson and Gavin Massey back training in the past week or two.

However, he will be without Josh Thompson after the defender was confirmed as needing an ankle operation this week.

Joe told the press on Thursday: "We can't quite get what we need out on the pitch, but it's been like that for a few weeks now and we're ready for Saturday's game.
The U's have endured a run of games without picking up three points, but spirits remain high in the camp and Joe is keen to take the positives out of the encouraging signs he has seen from his team.

"We have not conceded many away from home, so we go there with some confidence."

"We go there with no fear. Our away record stands up to most in the division, in terms of being very difficult to beat and long may that continue.

"Not winning games is a fact, but the other side is that we have been going to these clubs away from home and getting points, which has shown a good resilience in the squad."
