A goal laden first half saw the U's beaten in the U21 Premier League Cup on Thursday afternoon.A young U's side ran their opponents close at Peterborough United, but they were ventually defeated by a 3-2 scoreline.
The U's started brightly, but found themselves one behind after just five minutes when Boro built an attack from a cleared U's free kick, with McDonald nodding home with a header.
Ladapo made it 2-1 for the U's with another good finish that gave the keeper no chance, before Peter Grant made it 2-2 with a thumping header from a Posh corner.
But the U's were not rattled and were level a further five minutes later. A powerful shot from Freddie Ladapo got the U's on level terms after just ten minutes in a lively start to the game.
