U's Flash: Bond To Bristol

12 September 2013

Midfielder joins up with former boss.

In the second transfer move of a busy Thursday, Andy Bond has headed to Bristol Rovers on loan.

Andy has found himself on the substitutes' bench in the games so far this season, although he did of course make a crucial impact in the opening day game against Gillingham, scoring the winner at Priesfield.

However, to get some regular first team football under his belt, he will be reunited with former boss John Ward and ex-U's midfielder John-Joe O'Toole in the West Country.

His loan deal will see him stay with Rovers until October 12th, including that day's game against Mansfield.

It is the second time he has headed out on loan from the U's, after a brief spell with Crewe Alexandra last season.

We wish Andy all the best during his time with Rovers.
