Winless Weekend For Loanees

22 December 2014

Heavy defeat for Ibehre at MK Dons.

Colchester United's loanees endured a frustrating weekend for the second Saturday in succession, as they were unable to pick up a win in their five matches.

It was particularly a weekend to forget for Jabo Ibehre, whose Oldham Athletic side fell to a 7-0 defeat to MK Dons on Saturday.

The Dons had put the U's to the sword on their recent visit to Stadium:MK and the Latics were even more heavily beaten by the in-form Dons.

Jabo came off the bench on 56 minutes with the score at 4-0, but things got worse for Lee Johnson's side.

In League Two, Marcus Bean played ninety minutes for Portsmouth on Saturday, as they picked up a point at Cheltenham Town, now managed by former U's midfielder Paul Buckle.

Dan Holman's Aldershot Town fell to a 3-1 defeat at Welling at the weekend, with Welling having announced that former Heybridge Swifts manager Jody Brown will be taking over as boss on Saturday.

Billy Roast, who will be staying with Hornchurch until the end of February, helped the Urchins to a goalless draw at the weekend, whilst Conor Hubble's Leiston were beaten 2-1 by Leatherhead.
