Can Luke Grab A Goal?

17 January 2014

Defender 145/1 to score only goal at the weekend.

The U's make the hefty trip up to Carlisle United this weekend, looking to build on a run of form that has seen them pick up 10 points from their last five games and move up the League One table.

A commanding performance against Gillingham last weekend saw them run out 3-0 winners in their best performance of the season and they'll be looking for more of the same this Saturday.

Luke Garbutt picked up the Man of the Match award for his rampaging display down the left and he's always a goal threat both at set pieces and in open play.

The bookies rate the U's at 12/5 to pick up the win on Saturday and that means that the scorecast bets offer attractive options this weekend.

If Luke was to score the first and only goal of the game in a 1-0 win on Saturday, you'd get odds of 145/1 - surely worth a pound of your money!

Sanchez Watt scored the opener against Gillingham and if he were to score the first in a 2-1 win at Brunton Park, then you'd get odds of 115/1.

The match is the U's first visit to Carlisle since that memorable win over the Cumbrians that assured League One safety last season.

Tom Eastman scored the crucial second in that match and the big centre half is 14/1 to score at any time on Saturday.

And should he and his defensive partners keep their fifth clean sheet in six on Saturday, you'll get odds of 3/1!
