Szmodics short-listed for Best Apprentice
U's youngster Sammie Szmodics has been short-listed for the Football League Awards.
The eighteen year old is one of three nominees in the 'LFE Apprentice of the Year - League One' category.
Josh Brownhill, (Preston North End) and Brendan Galloway, (MK Dons), are the other two up for the award, which is due to be announced at the Football League Awards ceremony in March.
Sammie has progressed through the entire Academy set-up, and performances in pre-season last July have seen him break into the first team and subsequently make seven appearances for Joe Dunne's side.
