Chris Lewington has signed for the U's
The twenty five year old makes it a hat-trick of signings in a day for Joe Dunne, joining Sean Clohessy and Ben Gordon in penning contracts.
Unlike the two fullbacks who have moved to north Essex after playing in Scotland, Lewington has moved the relatively short distance from Dagenham & Redbridge.
Having deputised for Daggers legendary keeper Tony Roberts for the very early part of his career, the U's new signing has been a regular in goal for three years.
In fact, all but six of his 143 appearances have come over the past three seasons but he will now be fighting with Sam Walker for the number one spot for the U's.
