Ben Gordon Joins

Ben Gordon has joined Colchester United.

The left back has signed a two year deal, subject to clearance from the relevant authorities, having returned to England after a year north of the border.

Gordon played twenty eight times for Ross County in the Scottish Premiership in the 2013/14 season but has now moved to north Essex to continue his career.

After joining Chelsea from Leeds United as a teenager, Ben found his opportunities limited at Stamford Bridge but gained valuable experience at various clubs on loan.

He won't be a stranger in the U's dressing room, having played with Sam walker at Chelsea and Josh Thompson at Peterborough and against Sanchez Watt and Craig Eastmond in Chelsea Vs Arsenal U21s fixtures.

He was one of three new players training at Florence Park, with the signing of fellow full back Sean Clohessy announced earlier on Tuesday afternoon.
